DASLER HOME

South Bay, Kaikōura

Exposed on a raw beachside location, the Dasler home was designed to create a place of home whilst being protected from the elements. 

The design was incredibly important as the owners had called this site home since 1984, it was a challenging environment with a remarkable view. Our vision was to create a home that told a story, and fitted perfectly in its sculpted east-coast landscape. 

The home itself was crafted with simple forms and clean lines, the form and materials helped to create a sense of warmth to give a bach feel in a modern home. The connection to the ocean was essential and we did this by designing a corner stacker between the living area and outdoors - creating a flawless connection to the surroundings. 

The home demonstrates beachside living at its finest, it creates a seamless view whilst still creating a sense of comfort and warmth in the home. A modest beautiful home for equally modest and beautiful clients.
